Nia Nielsen is Director of Marketing at the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools. She draws on her varied experiences both in nonprofit and for-profit marketing.
Her early background focused on integrating digital platforms with marketing initiatives. Nielsen has strategized user experience for over 40 private and public websites and developed online communities around numerous brands. Skills include meshing social media strategies with organizational goals, objectives, mission and vision; SEO and online content management; and optimizing promotional pieces to drive traffic to online.
In her current role, Nielsen develops creative solutions to business problems, blending the art and science of marketing through research, strategic planning and branding.
Nielsen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Her favorite topics to present on include: problem solving and creativity. She is a former Lincoln Chapter American Marketing Association president, Marketer of the Year awardee and Dorothy B. Clark recipient.
When she’s not reading up on everything shifting to virtual events and figuring out how to blend the latest trends into current marketing strategies, you can find Nia hanging out with her husband and four children.
