Behind every successful event and every thriving relationship with our business community stands the heart of our board—our Programming and Partnership teams. These two committees are not just vital; they’re the engines that keep our chapter moving forward.

What's a fun fact about yourself?
Tim: I have been to over 20 countries and 49 states. Alaska, I’m coming to you next!
Catherine: I’m a certified Master Scuba Diver! I’ve dove in the Florida Keys, Cozumel Mexico, and Iceland.
Leah: I am an avid D&D nerd and am currently a member of a campaign that’s been going since sometime in 2019.
Alex: I have a 3 year old rabbit named Bean.
What is your favorite part about AMA Lincoln and why?
Steven: The community, hands down. I’m so thankful I’ve been able to create so many connections and friendships through AMA. We’re such a close-knit community that supports one another because at the end of the day we want to see Lincoln’s marketing scene thrive. And that’s really cool to witness first-hand as a board member.
Avery: My favorite part of AMA Lincoln is connecting with marketing professionals from all over Lincoln! I enjoy forming relationships and connections with individuals I may not have met otherwise.
Laura: The people!
Leah: My favorite part of AMA Lincoln is how much everyone cares about helping one another be the best marketers we can be. Whether we’re chatting AI over coffee, celebrating each other’s work at Prisms, or taking a deep dive in a Skill School or round table, our membership and board alike are engaged, thoughtful, helpful, creative, and supportive. Plus, we really know our stuff!
What advice do you have for young or new professionals in the area?
Leah: Come to an AMA event! Choose a small one, like a Coffee Happy Hour, and introduce yourself to someone — especially a board member, if possible — and let them know you’re new. Even if you don’t talk much, it’s a great way to start laying the groundwork for finding friendly faces at future events. Anything you can do to start forming your network, even as small as a chat over coffee, will pay dividends in the future.
Catherine: Lincoln is a small but mighty community, get out there and meet people!
Laura: Take time out of the day to get out and meet other professionals in the area – it’s always worth the time and energy!
Avery:
My advice for young professionals is not to be afraid to do things that scare you. Some of my biggest growth has come from experiences where I felt under-qualified or scared. So much growth occurs when you do things outside of your comfort zone!
