Successful brands don’t happen by chance. They’re founded with purpose, built with dedication, and managed with care. After years of hard work and smart choices, a lucky few have the opportunity to grow and achieve heights of success they couldn’t possibly have imagined.
Then, one day, it happens: a realization that the brand you painstakingly crafted and nurtured no longer reflects the diverse, multimillion-dollar organization you’ve become. What then?
Nelnet Associate Creative Directors Brandon Moller and Erik Wieseman discuss the opportunities and obstacles that come with rebranding an established, multinational organization. From brand audits and architectures to internal buy-ins and rollouts, Brandon and Erik will highlight some tips and tricks (and potential traps) to remember when undertaking a complex, full-scale rebranding project.
Key Learning Objectives
- Identify five “must-haves” for any brand to be successful.
- Outline necessary steps for a successful in-house rebrand.
- Examine key challenges that exist in complex, full-scale rebrands.
Erik Wieseman serves as an associate creative director for Nelnet. When he’s not complaining about creative briefs, you can typically find him complaining about something else. If he had to describe himself in one word, it would be ‘wordy’.
Brandon Moller serves as the “other” associate creative director for Nelnet. When he’s not lording over the creative team, he’s most likely playing Legos – alone. If he had describe himself in one word, it would be ‘brand-on’ (pause for sad laughter).
