Speaker Bio

As a marketer, Nia Nielsen develops creative solutions to business problems, blending the art and science of marketing through research, strategic planning and branding.

Nielsen has held titles that include everything from communication specialist to marketing director. She has worked for nonprofit organizations and for-profit businesses, in industries that range from traditional printing press shops to digital startups.

In her 18 years of experience Nielsen has created engaging online user experiences for more than 100 websites. Today she is a web strategist for Nelnet.

Nielsen holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She has served on the Leonard C. Berry Marketing Book of the Year selection committee and is a Lincoln Chapter American Marketing Association Past President.
