Domesti-PUPS Board Member – Communications, Marketing & Public Relations (Volunteer) – Domesti-PUPS
Domesti-PUPS is a Lincoln-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and special needs through the assistance of animals, while promoting awareness through education.
We are seeking a passionate, strategic, and community-minded communications, marketing, or public relations professional to join our Board of Directors and help amplify the stories, mission, and impact of our organization. This volunteer leadership role offers a meaningful opportunity to apply strategic and professional expertise in furtherance of Domesti-PUPS’ life‑changing work with service dogs, therapy dogs, and adoptable rescue dogs.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Provide counsel related to communications, marketing, and public relations
- Support brand visibility, messaging, and storytelling across audiences
- Serve as an ambassador for Domesti-PUPS within the community
- Participate in quarterly Board of Directors meetings held at the Domesti-PUPS facility in Lincoln
- Engage in and support Domesti-PUPS events and community outreach activities
- Contribute to governance, planning, and long-term sustainability of the organization
Qualifications:
- Professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, media, or related fields
- Strong interest in nonprofit service and community engagement
- Passion for service dogs, therapy dogs, rescue dogs, and animal-assisted impact
- Ability to think strategically and collaborate effectively with fellow board members
Prior board experience is welcome but not required. This is a volunteer, non-compensated position.
