SUMMARY:Round Table: What Google and AI Actually See on Your Website
DESCRIPTION:See your website through Google and ChatGPT’s eyes\, learn what they read\, and leave with simple same-day fixes.\n\n\nMost of us have never looked at our own website the way Google or ChatGPT does. In this session we’ll pull up real websites\, including mine\, and walk through exactly what machines read: your page titles\, your headings\, and the words that tell them what you do. You’ll leave with a simple worksheet for auditing your own site and a few fixes you can make the same afternoon. Bring your website! \nKey Talking Points: \n\nWhen someone asks ChatGPT for “the best [your business] in Lincoln\,” it runs real Google searches behind the scenes. If you show up well in Google\, you’re most of the way there with AI.\nAI is literal. If you want to be known as fast\, honest\, or local\, those exact words need to be on your homepage and/or in reviews. Subtlety doesn’t translate well.\nThe five-minute self-audit: what your title tag\, headings\, and first hundred words are telling every machine that reads your site.\n\nSpeaker Bio: \nJake Kramer is the co-owner and director of ARTILLERY\, a Lincoln web design studio that has been building websites since 2006 and hosts more than 500 of them today. He and his team spend their days helping small businesses build trust online and get found on Google and\, lately\, in ChatGPT. He co-hosts Slow & Steady\, a podcast about growing a business at a sustainable pace. Jake led an AMA Lincoln Round Table last year on website content\, and the landing page formula that came out of it still lives at artillerymedia.com/ama-landing-page-formula. Jake and his wife\, Haley\, have 2 sons\, Rune (2.5 y.o.) & Renly (6 mo old). Outside of ARTILLERY\, Jake plays fiddle in The Colten Wyatt Band (a country band based in Lincoln). Jake is also the worship director at Center Church in Lincoln. \n\n\n\nParking and Venue Information: \nMetered parking is available on the street or Rampark Garage is the closest available garage\, 1225 P St. (Entrance is off of N. 12th St.) \nThe Small Business Conference Room entrance is beside the security desk at the southwest end of the building on the first floor.
