SUMMARY:Skill School: How to Create and Launch a Campaign Worth Celebrating!
DESCRIPTION:Take a campaign from pain points to celebratory solutions with Eleanor’s Creative six-step process\, led by Christine & Sean!\n\n\nFrom Campaign** to Champagne: How to Create and Launch a Campaign Worth Celebrating! \n \nGreat campaigns don’t happen by accident. They’re built through smart discovery\, clear messaging\, compelling creative\, thoughtful testing\, and strategic implementation. \n \nJoin Christine Weeks\, Founder & CEO\, and Sean Flattery\, Creative Director\, of Eleanor Creative\, for a behind-the-scenes look at Eleanor’s campaign process. From identifying the real problem to launching work that gets results\, Christine and Sean will share practical strategies that marketers can use to build Campaigns Worth Celebrating! \n \nWhat You’ll Learn: \nTake a campaign from its pain points to celebratory solutions. Christine and Sean will walk through Eleanor Creative’s six-step campaign process: \nDiscover → Message → Concept → Test → Implement → Launch \nAlong the way\, you’ll learn how to uncover the problem behind the problem\, turn strategy into messaging\, develop creative concepts that connect with real audiences\, test ideas before investing heavily\, and build a launch strategy designed to drive action. \n \nCampaign Case Study: City of Lincoln — Next Stop \nThe Challenge: StarTran needed 22 bus operators—and needed them fast. \nRoutes were being reduced\, existing operators were working significant overtime\, and the City of Lincoln was spending more just to maintain basic service. With only one month and a small advertising budget\, Eleanor Creative had to turn a difficult recruitment challenge into a campaign that could move people to action. \n \nThe Strategy: Instead of simply advertising open positions\, we marketed the life and opportunity behind the job. Real employees\, human photography\, targeted digital advertising\, and benefit-driven messaging transformed a job opening into a meaningful career opportunity. \nThe campaign centered on messages including “A Career that Takes You Places” and “An Office With a View\,” while highlighting the benefits\, diversity\, stability\, and purpose of working for StarTran. \nIt’s a case study in what can happen when the right message\, audience\, creative\, media strategy\, and moment come together. \n \nCampaign Case Study: Dorothy Lynch \nHow do you make a beloved\, established Nebraska brand feel fresh without losing what generations of customers already love about it? \nChristine and Sean will share how Eleanor Creative approached the Dorothy Lynch brand refresh and campaign—balancing brand equity with new creative energy. Attendees will see how research\, strategy\, messaging\, photography\, creative concepts\, and implementation can work together to introduce an established brand to new audiences while remaining unmistakably Dorothy Lynch. \nThe goal isn’t simply more impressions. It’s helping the right people find the right information\, understand why it matters to them\, and feel confident taking the next step. \n \nPut the Process to Work: Campaign Challenge \nThen\, it’s your turn. \nAttendees will work together to tackle a real-world marketing challenge using the same discovery and messaging process Eleanor Creative uses with its clients. \nYou’ll dig into the pain point\, audience\, barriers\, motivations\, and desired action to uncover the problem behind the problem. From there\, you’ll turn those insights into a clear campaign strategy and begin developing messaging designed to connect with the audience and move them to action. \nIt’s an opportunity to move beyond hearing about the process and actually put it to work\, leaving with a framework you can take back and use for your own organization’s next campaign. \n \nThe Big Takeaway \nA beautiful campaign isn’t necessarily a successful campaign. \nSuccessful campaigns start with a clearly defined problem\, are built around a specific audience\, communicate one compelling idea\, and give people a clear reason to act. \n \nStrategy gives creativity a job to do. \nCreative gets people to pay attention. \nImplementation turns attention into action. \nAnd results? Those are worth popping the champagne. 🥂 \n \nSponsored By: \nUniversity of Nebraska College of Journalism and Mass Communications \n \nParking Information: \nMetered street parking is available.

SUMMARY:Round Table: What Google and AI Actually See on Your Website
DESCRIPTION:See your website through Google and ChatGPT’s eyes\, learn what they read\, and leave with simple same-day fixes.\n\n\nMost of us have never looked at our own website the way Google or ChatGPT does. In this session we’ll pull up real websites\, including mine\, and walk through exactly what machines read: your page titles\, your headings\, and the words that tell them what you do. You’ll leave with a simple worksheet for auditing your own site and a few fixes you can make the same afternoon. Bring your website! \nKey Talking Points: \n\nWhen someone asks ChatGPT for “the best [your business] in Lincoln\,” it runs real Google searches behind the scenes. If you show up well in Google\, you’re most of the way there with AI.\nAI is literal. If you want to be known as fast\, honest\, or local\, those exact words need to be on your homepage and/or in reviews. Subtlety doesn’t translate well.\nThe five-minute self-audit: what your title tag\, headings\, and first hundred words are telling every machine that reads your site.\n\nSpeaker Bio: \nJake Kramer is the co-owner and director of ARTILLERY\, a Lincoln web design studio that has been building websites since 2006 and hosts more than 500 of them today. He and his team spend their days helping small businesses build trust online and get found on Google and\, lately\, in ChatGPT. He co-hosts Slow & Steady\, a podcast about growing a business at a sustainable pace. Jake led an AMA Lincoln Round Table last year on website content\, and the landing page formula that came out of it still lives at artillerymedia.com/ama-landing-page-formula. Jake and his wife\, Haley\, have 2 sons\, Rune (2.5 y.o.) & Renly (6 mo old). Outside of ARTILLERY\, Jake plays fiddle in The Colten Wyatt Band (a country band based in Lincoln). Jake is also the worship director at Center Church in Lincoln. \n\n\n\nParking and Venue Information: \nMetered parking is available on the street or Rampark Garage is the closest available garage\, 1225 P St. (Entrance is off of N. 12th St.) \nThe Small Business Conference Room entrance is beside the security desk at the southwest end of the building on the first floor.
