Digital Content Specialist – University of Nebraska-Lincoln
The Digital Content Specialist is a key team member of the University Communication and Marketing social team. They actively collaborate to create audience-focused social media content for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln accounts. This person is social media savvy, deliberate and creative and is comfortable with photography, social copywriting, while also shooting and producing short video content for current and future social media platforms.
This role is instrumental in concepting, planning, creating and sharing impactful creative content, while managing their own processes and hitting key deadlines. They collaborate across the UComm office and campus assisting in creating, curating and distributing digital content under the direction of the social media lead, helping exceed goals and objectives in the social/digital space.
They are well versed in creating platform-specific social media content and have a passion for social/digital trends, relationship building and can tell a clever story with a meme. They are involved in helping discover new stories, approaching things with a different lens and working in a fast-paced distributed team environment. They will have a hand in planning and distributing content to protect and promote the institution while managing and effectively growing a digital community. They have good judgment and can be trusted and have a keen understanding of the social space and the impact it has on protecting and promoting the institution. They can attend daytime and after-business hours events, as needed, to promote the university and campus life.
