Content Marketing Specialist – Farmers Mutual of Nebraska

Looking to join a growing organization and develop impactful marketing communications? Farmers Mutual of Nebraska is looking for a talented Content Marketing Specialist that understands content strategy and versatility of messaging across multiple platforms. The individual in this role will be a key member of the Communications and Marketing team, working to identify and connect relevant information to our audiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Strategize, create, and manage high-quality, original content
• Generate both long-form and short-form content for company-branded marketing, corporate communications, and creative deliverables for sponsorships, media buys, trade associations, etc.
• Administer social media accounts to ensure up-to-date content and best-practices are being followed
• Research and create content for hosted websites
• Ability to use independent discretion and judgment while determining appropriate course of action or response when in communication with policyholders, agents, and prospective customers
• Must be committed to high creativity and willingness to look for new solutions to achieve company goals
• Maintain professional standards on information conveyed through media distribution
• Knowledge of AP Style Guide
• Capture and track public sentiment and interests around the industry
• Collaborate with marketing team to repurpose and promote content
• Receive and carry out instructions
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
• Receive and protect confidential information
• Maintains detailed and organized filing structures in adherence with Communications and Marketing Department guidelines on all assigned projects
• Assist team with other duties and special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, English, fine arts or other relevant field of study or equivalency
• Four years of experience working in a marketing capacity
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral/written communications, and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience writing for multiple audiences
• Experience with search engine optimization
• Basic knowledge of data analytics
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Create Suite
• Experience working on corporate marketing and/or advertising agency teams
• Familiarity with the insurance industry

Other Details:
• This is a full-time position (40 hours/week)
• Position is located at the Home Office in Lincoln, Nebraska
• Salary commensurate with experience
