LINCOLN, Neb. (Nov. 4, 2013) –LinkedIn has fundamentally changed the way the world hires, markets and sells. The social networking site has quickly become the professional development tool you never knew you needed. Join Holly Procter, enterprise relationship manager for LinkedIn, Thursday, Nov. 14 as she speaks to the American Marketing Association (AMA) Lincoln about “Your Career Path Redefined — LinkedIn Changes the Game.”
From sharing trending news and topics within your networks, to searching for the ideal candidate, you owe it to your career to maximize your presence on LinkedIn. This session will give you an overview of LinkedIn, including how you can best leverage the free tool, how recruiters all over the globe are using it to search for new talent and how you can get their attention.
“LinkedIn is one of the fastest growing social networks, with 259 million users in more than 200 countries,” Amber Wolff, AMA programming chair, said. “But many people don’t use the free tool to their advantage. November’s luncheon will help Lincoln’s marketing community do just that.”
Procter started her career in business development at Gallup in San Francisco after completing her MBA at University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After four years as a consultant managing new business, Procter transitioned to LinkedIn as an enterprise relationship manager. Procter creates relationships with clients in the Bay Area, southern California, Seattle and Portland to help customers leverage LinkedIn to hire world-class talent.
The luncheon is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Embassy Suites at 1040 P St. in downtown Lincoln. The event is $22 for AMA members, $37 for non-members. Student rates are $18 with lunch, $6 without lunch. Register For This Signature Program.
