Lincoln Chapter of the American Marketing Association Will Recognize Lincoln Marketing Professionals for Outstanding Work

Award Ceremony Styled After Reality Television Shows to be Held
at Embassy Suites, May 12, 2011

(Lincoln, Neb.) According to the Lincoln chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA), the reality is that earning recognition helps marketing customers feel confident about your abilities, and the organization's annual Prism Awards program will recognize the accomplishments of the Lincoln area's finest marketers. This year, the theme of the Prism Awards is reality television. More than 100 attendees are expected at a red-carpet ceremony May 12, 2011, at Lincoln's Embassy Suites, 1040 P Street. Gina from the B107.3 morning show will serve as emcee.

The awards program is made possible through the volunteer efforts of many of the association's members, and also in part by generous sponsors including Firespring, the Lincoln Journal Star, Embassy Suites, Foster Writing, Leadership Resources, Pickering Creative Group, Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital, Cornerstone Printing & Imaging, Reliant Studios, Right Eye Digital, All Needs, and Datapeak.

Local marketing professionals were asked to submit Prism Award entries for work that was completed in 2010. The award entries were sent to an out-of-state chapter of the AMA, where they were judged using a rating scale based on actual results and marketing best practices. In return, the Lincoln chapter judged awards for the other chapter's market.

Entries were accepted in more than 70 categories of marketing, ranging from packaging to complete marketing campaigns. In addition to announcing category award winners, the Lincoln AMA will name the winners of the prestigious Marketer of the Year and Corporate Marketer of the Year awards.

Prices for the event are $20 for members, $30 for non-members and $16 for students. Corporate tables of 10 are available for $200 and half-corporate tables of five are $100. Those wishing to attend can register at
