After a 23 1/2-year career at Ayres (formerly Ayres Kahler), Karen Brokaw started her own agency, Brokaw Marketing, last November. Brokaw is AMA-Lincoln’s Marketer of the Month for March.
“I solve marketing and communication problems,” the Grand Island native said. “We’ll use the latest interactive and social media tools to build relationships with client target markets.”
Brokaw, who holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree (with an emphasis in broadcasting) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, also is an adjunct instructor at UNL. An experienced marketer, Brokaw understands customer needs.
“My (marketing) philosophy is to help clients put their best foot forward,” she said. “I can help clients define their target audiences through research and common sense, then work together to solve marketing problems and find the most cost effective marketing tools to reach their target audiences with appropriate messages. In this day and age, we have to make sure that our messages are relevant to the lives of our target audience.”
Brokaw, a past member of AMA-Lincoln’s Board, said she was “very honored” to receive the award.
“AMA has always been very important to me,” she said.
