Lincoln AMA Wins Programming Overall Excellence Honor for 2007-2008 Chapter Year

Lincoln, NE (October 26, 2008) – The Lincoln chapter of the American Marketing Association has won the Programming Overall Excellence Honor for the 2007-2008 year. This award, which recognizes outstanding local program offerings, will be presented at the AMA’s Annual Leadership Summit April, 2009, in Chicago, Illinois.

The chapter will also be honored with a Continuing Excellence Award. This award recognizes local chapters that have demonstrated excellence and received an award from the international headquarters of the AMA five years or more consecutively. The other chapters in this group are Cincinnati, Colorado & Houston.

“We are just thrilled to receive such tremendous honors from our peers at the international level. The members of last year’s board worked tirelessly to provide great programming and value to our membership and we’re very proud that they have been recognized for their work,” said current Lincoln AMA chapter President, Meagan Liesveld.

It is important to note the Chapter Excellence Award, is based in part on the submission and contents of a yearly chapter plan, chapter budget, and financial report.
