Marketing Manager - Union Bank and Trust (Posted 5/22)

Position Summary: The Marketing Manager develops and implements marketing plans and strategies for seven to ten of the Bank’s regions and departments. Will also develop special projects to positively impact the customer experience, generate revenue, or increase customer relationship growth.

Essential Functions:
•Manage the development and implementation of annual strategic marketing, advertising, and communications plans for seven to ten of the Bank’s regions and departments. Serve as the main point of contact and marketing consultant for each of these areas throughout the year.
•Work closely with senior managers, department, and branch managers to understand targeting customer/client needs and region goals, and develop appropriate strategies, tactics and budgets. Make recommendations and offer constructive feedback on project requests to result in highly effective marketing efforts.
•Manage the development and implementation of a strategic marketing plan and innovative marketing ideas for the Baby Boomer generation and their Journey banking services. This includes the successful introduction and ongoing adoption of “Journey” banking services, content development and management of the Journey website section, and coordinating education opportunities on key Baby Boomer issues.
•Manage the development and implementation of a strategic marketing plan and innovative marketing ideas for the Identity Protection Program. This includes ongoing adoption of Identity Theft Protection by customers as well as education to branch staff.
•Manage marketing special projects to positively impact the customer experience, generate revenue, or increase customer relationship growth.
•Collaborate with marketing sub-teams, including Create, Digital, Analytics, Events & Community Outreach, and within Serve to provide a high level of support to all projects and departments.
•Coordinate the effective use of a complete range of marketing mediums that include print and broadcast advertising, direct mail, email, social media, digital, promotions, special events, merchandising, newsletters, video and other presentations.
•Manage the bank’s news releases and headshots by preparing, writing and distributing to the appropriate media outlets.
•Manage a variety of external suppliers including advertising agency, graphic designers, presentation production companies, and promotion item suppliers.
•Supports the bank’s commitment to the community through service on various bank committees and community involvement.
•Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training; follow internal processes and controls as required.
•Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
•Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
•Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or Advertising.
•Five to seven years marketing, advertising, directing marketing, and communications experience with demonstrated marketing planning and implementation skills.
•Demonstrated project management and coordination skills.
•Financial industry experience preferred.
•Demonstrated professionalism and experience working with senior-level managers and sales/business development officers.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
•Valid Nebraska driver’s license.

•Indoor work – occasionally exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.
•Some travel required.
